A North Texas woman who did a simple good deed ended up with a reward she would never have dreamed of. The twist involved a celebrity couple who's spending time in Texas.
By her own admission, Venita Vance keeps a low profile. "I actually have a very boring life," said Vance. "I work two full-time jobs."
But recently her routine went from easy-going to exciting, when Vance, an airline employee, found a lost wallet on an empty plane.
"I looked like a nice wallet," Vance told MyFoxDFW. "When you opened it up, she had her driver's license in there. Beautiful woman."
Vance immediately recognized the woman on the driver's license. It was someone she had seen before in the movies -- actress Nicole Ari Parker.
Parker had dropped her wallet at the Dallas-Forth Worth Airport. The wallet included cash, credit cards and personal items. Vance connected with Parker by phone, who was in North Texas shooting a TV series. Parker's husband, actor and model Boris Kodjoe, got in a car and drove from Plano down to Vance's apartment in Grand Prairie.
"[Kodjoe] called and said 'I'm on my way. I'm going to come down to get [the wallet.]' And I said 'What am I going to wear?'" excited Vance detailed.
Vance said Kodjoe was gracious and personal and helped takle a cell phone photo of the two.
Parker on the phone said the she thinks of Vance as an angel.
"I feel good, because I did a good deed," said Vance.
