From MyFox National Reports
(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A Minnesota dog is being hailed as a hero for saving its owner's life.
The owner of the pup, Priscilla Elit, lives with her sister, Julie Chipperfield. Elit fainted on the floor after suffering a stroke, and that's when her dog Milky Way sprung into action.
After she collapsed, Milky Way ran to Chipperfield's door and scratched it until she came out and found her sister lying on the floor.
Chipperfield quickly called 9-1-1 and paramedics were able to save Elit.
"It'll make me kinda cry, because I feel like I could have lost her," Chipperfield said. "[Milky Way] came to my bedroom door and she was just scratching wildly at the door to come for me to open it, and when I did, then I heard my sister, and she was on the floor in the bathroom."
"She's my guardian angel. She's the sweetheart," Elit said. "I went to the bathroom, took my meds, next thing you know I'm on the floor."
"It does give me a sense of security to think she's looking out
for us," Chipperfield noted. "She intuitively knew something was
wrong."
"They become not just our friends, but our little angels! ...
Angels with tails," Elit added.
Emergency crews say Milky Way saved Elit's life by acting so quickly.
