(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - The infamous “Long Island Lolita” Amy Fisher is ready to launch a new career in adult films .
Fisher has reportedly agreed to a deal with Dreamzone Entertainment to produce and star in four adult films by the end of 2011.
“Our society loves sex,” said Fisher in a statement. “Sex is beautiful, powerful, and simply put, no one has the right to tell me what I can or cannot do with my own private parts.”
Fisher, a soon-to-be-36-year-old mother of three, has been tabloid fodder for nearly 20 years.
New York tabloids first dubbed her the “Long Island Lolita” in 1992, when at the age of 17 she shot her lover’s wife in the face in a jealous rage at her Long Island home.
Mary Jo Buttafuoco survived the attack but was severely wounded. Her husband, Long Island auto body shop owner Joey Buttafuoco, was later convicted of statutory rape for his affair with the underage Fisher.
Fisher pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated assault and spent seven years behind bars .
After her 1999 release, Fisher took a job as a columnist for the Long Island Press, and eventually co-wrote a book about her experience , "If I Knew Then..."
Fisher’s burgeoning stripper and pornography career began when her husband sold their marital sex video to an adult-film distributor in 2008. The video went on to sell more than 200,000 copies, and the following year Fisher starred in an “explicit” pornographic pay-per-view special , "Amy Fisher: Totally Nude & Exposed.”
In an attempt to show her philanthropic side, Fisher in January pledged to donate a portion of the tips she earned performing at a Long Island strip club to the Haitian earthquake relief effort .
