Rafters Rained Out Again in Green Bay

GREEN BAY (WAOW) - For the second straight trip the Rafters trekked to Green Bay, only to turn around without playing. Steady rain washed out Tuesday's scheduled double header between the Rafters and the Bullfrogs.

The Rafters have yet to play a contest at Joannes Stadium and now face the prospect of two double headers in Green Bay. The first is scheduled for the Rafter's return trip Thursday, June 17. Mitch Running, slated to make the start in game one Tuesday, will instead have his second start pushed back to Wednesday when the Bullfrogs visit Witter Field.

Running, a freshman this past spring at UW-La Crosse, picked up his first win on June 8th with five innings of two run ball against Battle Creek. To date, the right-hander has piled up just over seven innings pitched with seven strike outs.

The Rafters return to Witter Field on Wednesday to take on the Green Bay Bullfrogs. Gates open at 6:05 for Riverview Hospital Night, with first pitch set for 7:05.
