Woodchucks and Rafters Rained Out After 3 Innings

WAUSAU (WAOW) - Monday's Wisconsin Woodchucks game against Wisconsin Rapids was suspended due to rain, following the completion of the third inning.  The game will be resumed and completed Tuesday night in Stevens Point, with the second game to follow.  The first game will begin at 6:05 with the second beginning half an hour after the first's completion.

The Woodchucks trailed 2-1 going into the top of the fourth inning, with Jordan Luvisi battling on the mound.  Two runs scored for the Rafters in the top of the second, after Luvisi gave up a walk, a double, and a sacrifice fly.  The lone Woodchucks' run came courtesy of Kevin Pillar, who led off the bottom of the first with a walk.  Grant Dozar would single to move Pillar into scoring position, and Jamie Bruno would send him home with his own single.

Play will resume tomorrow, going into the top of the fourth inning with the Rafters' designated hitter Brian Embery leading off.  The game will take place at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point, for the 6th annual Woodchucks Road Trip Night.
