WFXS, MyFoxWausau - News and Weather for Wausau, WIPointer hockey prepares for NCHA tourney

(WAOW) - UW Stevens Point forward Kyle Heck has been named to the NCHA all-conference team. He and the rest of his teammates kick off conference tournament action Friday at home against UW Superior.

In four games against the Yellowjackets this year, the Pointers are 0-1-2. UWSP hasn't won the conference championship since 1992, the same year they won the national title.

This year's team has been playing some great hockey over the last month and is feeling good as they enter the conference tourney.
