UPDATE: Marshfield armed robbery suspect in jail

According to Marshfield Police, 31-year-old Dustin Fritz is in jail after being released from Ministry St. Joseph's hospital on Sunday.

According to police, Fritz stole prescription drugs and money from Walgreens then ran away and locked himself in an auto store.

Marshfield police have recommended charges including armed robbery, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, intentionally pointing a firearm at law enforcement officers, and possession of a narcotic.

Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital officials say 31-year-old Dustin Fritz is in critical condition. According to Marshfield police, Fritz stole prescription drugs and money from Walgreens then ran away and locked himself in an auto store.

After several hours, Fritz surrendered to police. He did have a gun.

Police say Fritz was then taken to the hospital because he had swallowed some of the pills.

Marshfield police have recommended charges including armed robbery, 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, intentionally pointing a firearm at law enforcement officers, and possession of a narcotic.

Fritz is still hospitalized at St. Joseph's.
