Wausau East took on Wausau West for its annual Log Game, with the Lumberjacks playing with a playoff berth on the line for the second straight year. Though East had a 10-0 lead, West was able to score in the final minute of the first half to trim the lead to three. But the Lumberjacks held on, scoring the game-winning TD with four seconds on the clock, winning 23-21.
Elsewhere, SPASH looked to stay undefeated with a win over Marshfield. But the Tigers had other plans in mind as Marshfield gave Stevens Point its first loss of the season with a 42-28 victory.
The two top teams in the Cloverwood Conference faced off with Owen-Withee hosting Athens. Tommy Schuh scored a 70-yard touchdown run for the Blackhawks, who would eventually win 22-7.
In another Cloverwood Conference matchup, Greenwood-Granton benefited from several interceptions thrown by Gilman quarterback Mitch Jazdzewski, including one returned for a touchdown. Greenwood-Granton defeated Gilman, 46-15.
Spencer-Columbus visited Fall Creek and in the fourth quarter Charlie Mayeux scored the game-winning touchdown. Spencer-Columbus gets the win on the road, 21-13.
Colby had an easy home victory over Altoona in its season finale. After leading 35-0 at halftime, Colby defeated Altoona by a final score of 48-6.
Altoona traveled to Colby on Friday Night. Colby seemed to get the best of the Rail Roaders racing off to 35-0 halftime lead and the Hornets never looked back getting the win 48-6.
Edgar, looking to stay undefeated, had the privileged of playing on home turf on Friday against neillsville. Edgar got out to an early lead and kept the foot on the pedal winning big 49-7.
