A cabin is a total loss after a fire this afternoon in Lincoln County. Fire Fighters were called to the home on Joe Snow Road in the Town of Corning.
They say when they arrived on scene just before 1:30 in the afternoon, the cabin was fully engulfed. No one was home at the time.
When the property owners arrived, they told crews on scene that when they were at the cabin earlier in the day, they had built a fire in the wood stove.
After an initial investigation, crews determined the wood stove was most likely the cause of the fire. Foul play is not suspected.
