LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) - Three women face felony drug charges after officers accused them of distributing heroin, according to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities report that officers filed federal indictments against Leanna Marie Wells, 32, of Merrill, Jennifer Lynn Roper, 47, of Merrill, and Rose Helen Kirmsse, 32, of Black Creek.
The three were arrested on December 4. Wells and Roper were arrested in Lincoln County. Kirmsse was arrested in Outagamie County.
Charges against the women include possession with intent to distribute heroin, distributing heroin, and conspiracy to distribute heroin.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the women face 20 years in federal prison and fines of up to $1 million if convicted. Authorities expect additional state and possibly federal charges to be introduced against others involved in the drug trade, according to the press release.
