The Wausau Pond Hockey Tournament wrapped up Sunday.
It's sponsored by Leinenkugel's and held at Sunnyvale Park.
Organizers said 36 teams competed at the event.
They said a lot of the melted ice refroze overnight, making for better play on Sunday.
Games were postponed for hours on Saturday due to wet weather.
Players said the cold air that moved in overnight made for some great match-ups on Sunday.
"We made it to the championship game again this year, we also played last year, we took second place this year, we played a really good team and we played a clean game, so did they, we had a good time with that too," said Player, Nick Nowak of Wausau.
Organizers said they expect an even larger turn out next year.
