A man who police say used a hammer to smash several thousand dollars worth of windows at Marshfield Clinic was charged Friday with two felonies.
William Sachs, 40, of Spencer, was charged in Wood County Circuit Court with two counts of criminal damage to property and two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct.
Court records say a judge set a $2,000 cash bail. Authorities said Sachs remained in the Wood County Jail on Friday afternoon.
Marshfield Clinic officials say Sachs walked into the urgent care center just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday and started smashing glass windows and doors with a hammer.
They say he then walked across campus and also broke windows at the Russell Lewis building.
Marshfield police say the man was taken to the hospital where he was medically cleared and then brought to the jail. They say no one was hurt. But Sachs suffered minor cuts to his hands.
Clinic leaders say patients waiting in urgent care were taken to another location temporarily, but leaders say all buildings have reopened.
Police estimated Sachs caused $30,000 in damage to the clinic.
