The official winter season at Nine Mile Forest is coming to an end this weekend.
Workers there said Sunday the chalet will close, after staying open a week longer than originally planned.
They said with such great conditions, closing up on schedule just didn't make sense.
"People have been coming through here but they've been astonished and startled at how good the snow has been. The conditions are beautiful for this time of year," said Chalet Attendant, John Howard.
Nine Mile employees said they've been very busy this season and groomers will continue to keep the trails in good condition while snow is on the ground.
