Adams Co. woman needs ambulance after dog attack


FRIENDSHIP (WAOW) - The Adams County Sheriff's Department says a woman was bitten by a dog on Friendship's Main Street on Friday and was hurt seriously enough to call an ambulance.

A dispatcher says the woman was taken to a local hospital. No other details were released, other than the woman was able to walk to the ambulance after the attack.

The dispatcher says the incident, which happened about 2 p.m., involved a dog about the size of a Labrador but the dog's breed was unavailable.

The dispatcher says the owner of the dog was nearby and the dog had up-to-date rabies shots.

The dispatcher says the dog has been quarantined.
