United Way Volunteer Connection is looking for people interested in disaster response.
According to a press release, the group is holding a free, two-night training session in Marathon County to teach participants how to screen and orient spontaneous volunteers when disaster strikes. Trainees will also have the opportunity to participate in a disaster exercise and be qualified to join United Way's Ready to Respond team.
Training will be held April 16th and 18th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 212 River Drive in Wausau. If you're interested in registering for the course, you can call Volunteer Connection at (715) 848-2927 or email email@example.com.
If you can't attend the April training, or would like more information, you can visit www.unitedwaymc.org.
