4/30/13 UPDATE: Anita Bucki's brother, Cliff Brown, said she's one of ten siblings in the family.
He said Anita is the most responsible and level-headed of the group.
That's why he said her disappearance, with no calls to anyone, makes this case even more frustrating and surprising.
Brown said his sister normally stays in touch with him.
He said they talked just last Wednesday, days before she went missing.
Brown said their father passed away last month, which was especially difficult for her.
But he said through it all, she is still a harder worker and a very proud grandmother, who takes a lot of pride in her family.
"Her and Clint, that meant everything to her, was her granddaughter and her son and she was so proud of them and so for her not to get a hold of them is beyond me and you know, her and I always talk and we talked about everything," said Bucki's Brother, Cliff Brown.
Brown also said he and his brothers may soon come to the area to search for their sister.
He said he has tried to get in touch with Lincoln County officials about the case, but hasn't gotten answers about the investigation.
We also tried to follow up with Lincoln County investigators working the case, but they refused an interview.
4/29/13 UPDATE: Lincoln County officials said late last week, 48-year-old Anita Bucki disappeared from her home in the Town of Corning. They said a search around the home turned up nothing.
"There were no signs that somebody had been on foot in that area, or anything indicating that she'd be there," said Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, Chief Deputy Nathan Walrath.
Lincoln County Sheriff's officials said the investigation into Anita Bucki's disappearance is far from over as they continue to investigate new leads and search for answers.
"We're interviewing friends and family in hopes to maybe find the location where she has gone to," said Walrath.
Bucki was reported missing by her husband, Mark Bucki, early Friday morning.
While he would not speak with us on camera, Bucki told Newsline 9 it's a very difficult time for the family.
He said he's been meeting with authorities for the last few days.
Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies said they do not consider him a suspect.
Authorities said although they don't suspect foul play at this time, they are trying to gain more information about what factors led up to her disappearance.
"We certainly want to rule out that possibly, until we do so, we treat it as a missing persons case, if leads develop that suggest otherwise, the nature of the case may change," said Walrath.
Sheriff's deputies said they aren't planning any future searches, but that could change as they explore new leads.
"Why did they leave, certainly that's an influence, whether it be medical or if they were motivated by other means," said Walrath.
Right now, they said they still aren't sure how or why Anita Bucki left her home, but they hope someone with the right information can help them find her.
"I hope that we find her well somewhere," said Walrath.
Anyone with information about Anita Bucki or who may have seen her is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department at (715) 536-6272.
