Students bring tractors to school for good cause

Somearea students ditched their cars for the day for a different kind ofride. Auburndale High School held its 6th annual "Bring yourtractor to school day". But organizers say this year's event meanta little more.

Itdoesn't look like your typical high school parking lot. Instead ofcars there are tractors, as 32 students braved the wind and rain totake part in bring your tractor to school day.

"Itwas worth it," Sophomore Jenna Bruech said.

Studentshave dedicated this year's ride to Treyden, a Stratford baby battlingcancer.

"We'vebeen following his story on Facebook and it touched our hearts,"Leisa Bruech, event organizer said.

Forthe past few weeks students have been selling t-shirts, cookies andice cream during lunch in an effort to raise money for Treyden andhis family. They say so far they've almost reached their goal of$500.

"Weknow there are a lot of medical expenses and personal expenses so wethought it be a good idea to help them out," Bruech said.

Soas students pull up you can see each tractor is different. But thegoal is the same; to unite the community for a good cause.

BabyTreyden is currently at St. Jude's hospital in Tennessee. His parentssay he's undergoing different tests hoping to be eligible for apotentially life saving procedure. Tractor day organizers say theyplan to deliver all the money raised to Treyden's family once its alladded up.
