MADISON (WAOW) - Clark County will host the 67th Alice in Dairyland finals May 15-17, 2014.
The event will provide an opportunity to highlight the positive impact of Clark County's farms and agribusinesses, state Agriculture Secretary Ben Brancel said in a statement Monday.
Calumet County hosted this year's competition won by 25-year-old Kristin Natzke Olson of Windsor.
Olson, a rural Fond du Lac native and a 2010 life sciences communications graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will serve as the official ambassador for the state's $59 billion agricultural industry for the next year.
Clark County is the top Wisconsin producer of forage, oats for grain and corn silage, Brancel said. The county also leads the state in the number of milk cows and number of dairy farms.
