An Adams County woman is fighting for her life after authorities say she was attacked in a bar.
The Adams County Sheriff says two women, 41-year old Crystal Kylloe and 42-year old Christine Pritzl were arrested Wednesday after they started a fight with a bartender. Now, that bartender is in critical condition
"These types of injuries are very unusual for anything that we've responded to as far as a bar fight," Adams County Sheriff Sam Wollin said.
The attack happened at Dave's Escape, a tavern in the town of Big Flats. The sheriff says Kylloe and Pritzl walked in to the bar and confronted 28-year-old bartender Brandy Madison. Officials say the three women knew each other.
"She was on the floor unconscious," Sheriff Wollin said. "We're still investigating what injuries were sustained from what people."
"It's been very tough on me and the community as a whole because everybody loved her," Dave's Escape owner, Dave Balistrieie.
He says Madison worked as a bartender there for four months.
"It's just she has a good personality, friendly, always joking and in a good mood no matter how bad things were."
Meanwhile, Kylloe and Pritzl were arrested. The district attorney tells Newsline 9 she expects to charge the women with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct.
As for the investigation, sheriff's officials say it's far from over.
"We'll continue to interview people that were on the scene, everyone has been cooperative with the investigation," Wollin said.
And Madison's friends hope for the best.
"We love you, get well," Balistrieie added.
Lawyers have not been assigned to Kylloe and Pritzl at this time. They are both free on signature bonds and will return to court in July. Family members declined to comment.
