Rib Lake (WAOW) -
A woman accused of trying to kill four of her six children remains in the Taylor County jail on a $200,000 cash bond and formal charges are expected to be filed later this week.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Department says Heidi Mann, 37, attempted to cause the death of four of her six children by carbon monoxide asphyxiation.
Investigators say the children are 3, 5, 8, and 11 years old.
Sheriff Bruce Daniels says the children are physically OK and are being
cared for by family members. Daniels says sheriff's officials are
recommending charges of attempted homicide.
Sheriff's officials say Mann was arrested Friday after an incident at her Rib Lake home in March. The
sheriff says he couldn't provide any further details because the
investigation is ongoing.
According to the district attorney's office, a bond hearing has been set for 10:30 a.m. Monday. A member of the district attorney's office tells Newsline 9 they plan on filing formal charges by the end of this week.
An initial appearance has been set for June 25 at 2:30 p.m.
