Varsity Red Raiders instruct youth at camp

WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) -

Varsity players from the Wisconsin Rapids-Lincoln football team got their turn as coaches at this week's youth football camp.

Kids from grades 3-8 are working on the fundamentals of the sport as the Red Raiders try to build the next generation of high school football players.

"Getting all the kids together telling them just kind of, getting them the real basics of what our program is all about," Rapids' senior Jake Dickey said.

Head coach Tony Biolo says that the camp is a way for his players to give back to younger athletes and gain valuable leadership skills, while the kids have fun.

"It's neat for us to see as coaches when we walk around and see those guys teaching kids because you start to, you hear what you've already taught them and you start to see what knowledge they have and where they're at skill wise even," Biolo said.
