The 4th of July tends to be a busy travel holiday. But, this year, AAA says fewer people are planning to head out of town.
Experts say roughly 41-million Americans will travel at least 50 miles from home this weekend. That's down nearly 300,000 from last year
"Last year was actually the highest in 13 years and it broke travel records," AAA agent Brent Dabler said. "So you can't break a record every year and this year is only a slight decrease."
Travel experts say the busiest time to be on the road in our area falls around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
