WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Dozens of students are taking part in a Hmong culture and language camp.
The camp is happening this week in Wausau at U.W. Marathon County.
It's called Camp Phoojywig-Friend.
Organizers said the camp teaches students more about the Hmong culture, including language, folklore, art and even food.
"We do have a fairly large Hmong population here, for a lot of these students, they have friends that are Hmong, but do not know much about the Hmong for the non-Hmong students to come in here, it's really important for them to learn," said Yauo Yang, Co-Director.
Organizers said more than 60 students took part in the camp. It runs through Friday.
