Police: Man assaulted 60-year-old woman in Wisconsin Rapids

Wisconsin Rapids police are looking for a man they say assaulted a 60-year-old woman.

According to police, it happened around 7:45 p.m. Friday. They say a man with sandy brown hair came up behind the woman on 5th Street North near Poplar Street in Wisconsin Rapids and grabbed her. Police say the man held on to the woman.

The woman screamed and got away unharmed, police said. She went to her house and called police.

The man ran toward nearby Forest Hill Cemetery after the incident, Wisconsin Rapids police said.

Police say the man is about 19-20 years old. If you have any information, call the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department or Wood County Crime Stoppers.
