Winner and Motorcycle Enthusiast Anthony Fields Chooses a 2013 Triumph Street Triple ARV
WAYNE, N.J., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The grand prize winner of the Castrol® Triumph sweepstakes Anthony Fields of Decatur, GA will claim his prize, a 2013 Triumph Street Triple motorcycle, on Saturday, September 21. The presentation will be conducted in conjunction with "Bike Day" at the 5380 Covington Highway Pep Boys store.
Fields won the motorcycle by entering a national Castrol sweepstakes held at Pep Boys stores from June 2 to July 6. A motorcycle enthusiast, he currently owns two ATVs and two motorcycles, including a Triumph Daytona.
To appeal to consumers' distinctive riding personalities, Castrol and Triumph decided to offer the sweepstakes winner their choice of three different styles of bikes including: the Street Triple, a roadster; the Daytona, a sport bike; and the Thruxton, a classic style cafe racer. As a result, more than 16,000 motorcycle enthusiasts entered for the chance to win.
"I entered the contest at a Pep Boys store by coincidence; I always use Castrol, so when I saw the sweepstakes display, I figured I would give it a shot," said Fields, who is an avid motorcycle rider and has been using Castrol products since he first began driving. "When I found out I won, it felt like a dream in a way. I've never even played the lottery, so I really took a chance entering the sweepstakes. It's a huge deal to me that I actually won!"
Castrol and Triumph will officially present the Triumph Street Triple AVR at a ceremony during "Bike Day" on September 21, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Pep Boys will have special offers for customers and some give-a-ways for attendees. In addition, bikes will be on display, courtesy of the local Triumph dealer, Freedom Powersports, and customers will be offered specials on motorcycle products and promotional merchandise.
The 675cc Triumph Street Triple receives accolades worldwide for its performance, agility and styling. The Street Triple shares the light weight and responsive handling of the race-winning Triumph Daytona 675 and the styling and upright riding position of the award-winning Triumph Speed Triple for a fantastic all-around middle weight street bike.
"I love riding and fixing up my motorcycles and ATVs," explained Fields. "I always use Castrol Actevo X-TRA and X-TRA 4T Off Road because it's a good quality synthetic blend oil at the right price point for me."
"Pep Boys is very excited for our fellow customer, Anthony Fields to be presented with the Triumph Street Triple motorcycle," said Chris Carney, assistant category manager for Pep Boys. "At Pep Boys we take care of our customers, and we're here to support Anthony with anything he'll need for his new 'ride.' Trust the Boys to get you there."

"Last year's sweeps promotion was very well received, but this year's program far exceeded our expectations in terms of consumer participation," said Rob Corini, brand manager for Castrol's motorcycle portfolio. "It's rare to have the opportunity to develop a program for a key retailer, with the support of a strategic partner like Triumph and reward a loyal consumer of all three brands with a cool new bike."
"I can't wait to take my new Triumph out for a spin, but I'm still so shocked that I might just leave it on display," said Fields.
