STEVENS POINT (WAOW) -
A heartwarming story out of Stevens Point as a soldier returns home.
A soldier who's been training for six months surprised his little brother on his birthday.
Terrin Labelle is now a combat medic for the United States Army.
After training for six months in Texas, he came home for a few days.
Labelle surprised his brother in his class at McDill Elementary with his family.
His little brother was just about speechless.
"I haven't seen him in a long time and it's just exciting to finally see him," said Trent Feltz, 5th grader.
"I'm mostly excited to see him. It's been only about six months, I know a lot of people have been gone for longer, but it was tough because we talked everyday on the phone and stuff like that, so that was nice. But he's really into the whole military thing, so it's pretty exciting for him to and it's his birthday," Labelle said.
Labelle adds he will be leaving for Germany and then Afghanistan in a few days.
But his duty Thursday was far from any war zones.
Labelle took his little brother for a birthday dish of ice cream after the classroom surprise.
