1960 Thunderbird, guns stolen from Weston home

WESTON (WAOW) -
A vintage 1960 Ford Thunderbird was among items stolen in a home burglary in Weston while the owners were gone for several days, Capt. Clay Schulz of the Everest Metro Police Department said Friday.

It is unclear whether the car, a two-door, was the target of the burglars because two guns, tools and electronic equipment were also stolen, Schulz said.

They pretty much went through the entire house,” he said.

The car, with an unknown value, was parked in the garage and the thieves located its keys in the home, Schulz said.

It is certainly something kids are not going to be cruising up and down Grand Avenue with,” he said. “We are looking for a motive.”

The thefts occurred sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept. 25, he said.

The collector license plate number on the Thunderbird is “168738.”
