A Wausau family, needing a new furnace, won't be cold this winter.
An organization called "Heat Up Wisconsin" allows people to nominate family or friends who may be in need.
Veteran Dan Hackbarth and his family were selected to receive a furnace. The unit was installed by Gilray Heating and Cooling.
"This is a way we can give back and we're not always taking out of the community, that we're able to help someone in the community," said Randy Gilray, the owner of Gilray Heating and Cooling.
The program helped the Hackbarth family save thousands of dollars. Other states nearby Wisconsin are also starting their own "Heat Up” programs.
