The Merrill High School marching band gave people a treat for the ears Sunday and hosted its 33rd annual competition.
The event featured eight bands from around the state.
Each band is scored based on performance and visual effects. Awards are given out at the end of the event. The competition also honored the band's graduating seniors.
"The stands are full, the parking lot's full we've been getting a lot of positive comments," said Ed Wayda of the Merrill Band Boosters.
The competition was sponsored by the Boosters. All of the proceeds from the event helps to buy new equipment.
