FRIENDSHIP (WAOW) – The Adams County sheriff says the second person killed in a late October fire was a friend of the property owner and lived in a camper.
Sheriff Sam Wollin said Thursday that investigators are awaiting results of DNA testing to confirm the identity.
The early morning fire Oct. 28 started in the camper and spread to a nearby home in the Town of Easton, killing 79-year-old Ronald G. Peak and injuring his 77-year-old wife, Joann Peak, Wollin said.
The friend had been living in the camper for some time, Wollin said.
Investigators have been unable to determine the cause of the fire, the sheriff said.
