It's been seven years since a new Sony PlayStation has been released.
On Thursday at midnight the PlayStation 4 finally goes on sale.
People nationwide have been camping outside stores just to get their hands on one.
The Best Buy in Plover is one of those stores.
"I've been out here for about 16 to 17 hours so far," said Travis Dahlman.
A few of the guys camping out tell Newsline 9 they failed to pre-order the new gaming system in time.
"After talking to a few of the stores they had said that maybe they didn't have as much in stock as what they anticipated, so we decided to come out last night," said Jeff Wegner.
On Wednesday evening, the guys said they loaded up their trucks with everything they needed to survive.
"I was dreading the cold so I was bringing everything I could -- snowboarding pants, gloves, hats, everything," said Dusty Hamilton.
Dahlman says he even went as far as taking off from work just to get in line.
Carissa Robertson, a student at U-W Stevens Point says she's missing classes to camp out, and adds that she's not even doing it for herself.
"I'm here to get a PlayStation 4 for my boyfriend for Christmas," said Robertson.
Best Buy employees say they expected some gamers to camp out at their store.
"We sold out of our pre-orders months ago so the demand for this thing was just absolutely huge," said Remington Wiater, manager at Best Buy in Plover.
"I'm actually surprised that we're not seeing more tents out here," said Adam Shepard, Employee at Best Buy in Plover.
The Sony PlayStation 4 debuts with a price tag of $399.
