UWSP Professor looks to students for research help

A UW-Stevens Point professor is partnering with a local school to help further his research.

Chemistry Professor Mike Zach studies Nanotechnology, which is basically the study
tiny things up-close.

Zach spoke at the Wausau Engineering and Global Leadership Academy Thursday.

Zach says he wants students at the school to help with his experiments.

School leaders say the students will help make educational kits to send to high schools across Wisconsin.

"I have a very strong interest in taking my technology out into the hands of young people," said Zach.

"I think it's not only a great opportunity for the school for the community partnerships, but also for him that we can help him bring his ideas to life and put it into action," said Alan Raff, a senior at the Wausau Engineering and Global Leadership Academy.

The school hopes to have six kits finished by the end of the month.
