Winter temperatures aren't stopping people from getting fresh produce. The first winter farmers' market was held in Wausau Saturday.
Fifteen vendors sold different produce, meats and baked goods. Organizers say farmers' markets give customers the best product they can find.
"You get a lot of fresher food so it increases access to fresher food by selling it locally," said Tony Schultz, the market's organizer.
The farmers market will be held every Saturday for the season at the UW Extension building at 212 River Drive. It will end in April.
