The Red Cross is brightening the holidays for our troops overseas.
Saturday was the last day to make Christmas cards for soldiers. The Red Cross supplied the materials for people to decorate. Folks were also able to drop off their own cards.
Organizers say the card making is another way the Red Cross can help people in the community.
"We do more than disaster services we welcome those opportunities for the community to come in and learn about us and we want to meet them as well," said Wendy Savage, the regional director of development.
The Red Cross is sending the cards at the beginning of December so troops will receive them by the holidays.
