RIB MOUNTAIN (WAOW) -
Granite Peak managers said opening weekend was a success.
The ski hill opened this weekend with two snow-covered runs.
Managers said it was possible because of cooler weather which allowed them to make plenty of snow.
Even though skiers faced rain, workers said the conditions were good and people still came out to enjoy them.
"The weather was good enough to let us have snow, so we just have to deal with it and conditions were a little bit spring-like with the warmer temperatures, but definitely slippery and fun," said Chris Pingel, Granite Peak Snow Sports Education Director.
Managers estimate about 600 people visited the ski hill.
Workers said they hope to get back to making snow tomorrow night.
