ROTHSCHILD (WAOW) -
People in central Wisconsin found some answers to their home improvement needs this weekend.
The Wausau Builders Association Home Show wrapped up Sunday at the Patriot Center in Rothschild. The show was filled with people looking for ways to improve their homes. Organizers say the support from this community is what brings the show back every year.
Contractors specializing in different areas had several rows of exhibits. They showed off their displays which ranged from landscaping and heating to windows and roofing. After 37 years, organizers say the event is still a great success.
"People are interested in meeting the people who are going to be doing the work for them. With the change in the Internet the last few years, we're finding a great difference in the consumers coming through the show. They've done their research. They know what they want to do," said Russ Utech, the show's chairman.
Organizers say thanks to this weekend's show, homeowners are already planning projects for next summer.
Admission to the show was $4 for those who brought a can of food to donate.
