Distinguished Thought Leaders Unite to Help Advance the Foundations Mission

The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF), a central voice for patient safety since 1997, today announced the creation of the NPSF Health Leaders Speakers Bureau. The panel of distinguished thought leadersmembers of the NPSF Governing Boards and the NPSF Lucian Leape Instituteare recognized visionaries in the field and vocal advocates for the patient safety mission.
Our goal in organizing the Speakers Bureau is to provide organizations across the health care spectrum with opportunitiesand a processto engage with leading voices in patient safety, said Tejal K. Gandhi, MD, MPH, CPPS, president of NPSF. We want to inspire and energize those who are creating or expanding patient safety initiatives in all settings.
The program is designed to facilitate presentations at organizational retreats, executive sessions, conferences, or other events. Areas of expertise represented by the NPSF Speakers Bureau cover a wide range, from transparency and medical malpractice to patient-centered care and the use of health information technology to improve safety.
We are honored by the participation of these professionals, who offer diverse expertise yet share a single goalto make health care safer, said Dr. Gandhi.
