Gary Andersen visits Wausau

Posted:

Head Coach for the Wisconsin Badgers visited Central Wisconsin on Tuesday. He came to shake hands, but also to answer questions from the teams supporters. Coach touched on what the recruiting process was like as he had 30 freshman from 11 states sign letters of intent. One new face will be his son.
"I think the only way it works is because I truly treat each and very kid and the program like my own children."
Chasen is Andersen's youngest, and he will grayshirt this year at Wisconsin while rehabbing a knee injury. He'll officially join the team in January.
"He's a good kid, he better stay a good kid or I can do whatever I want to that one and not get in trouble."
Coach's main point was that he wants to see his football team succeed on and off the field.
"Wisconsin kids always have a chance because of their character, they want to, their knowledge and the way their coached. That's the way a lot of those young kids are going to be."
