MARSHFIELD (WAOW) – Marshfield police say two teenagers who overdosed on drugs were found unconscious in a laundromat. Investigators say this overdose has led to three arrests.

Police say two 19-year-olds were found in the restroom of the laundromat at about 12:30 Monday morning. One was a woman from Pittsville and the other was a man from Wausau.

The Marshfield police chief tells Newsline 9 the teens were revived using medication. Then they were taken to different hospitals.

Police say the 19-year-old man admitted to supplying the drugs and was taken to the Wood County Jail.

The police chief says two Mosinee women, ages 18 and 20, were also arrested for giving officers on the scene false information.

"If we're talking about the heroin problem or the narcotics problem, we can tell you that it affects people from all walks of life from the lower social economic classes up to the very top level," said Marshfield Police Chief Gary Jepsen.

He says it was narcotics that caused the overdoses.

The owner of the laundromat said he didn't even know anything happened until an employee contacted him early Monday. He did express concern about the incident.
