Quiet weather will likely prevail around central and northern Wisconsin through Thursday evening. However the far southwest and far southern part of the state is under a Winter Storm Watch for potentially several inches of snow as a low pressure system slides across Iowa and Illinois. At this point, it's possible that a dusting or half inch of snow could reach as far north as about highway 10 Thursday. But even that is not a sure thing. A pocket of cold and moist air will flow down through our region Friday and may spark some scattered snow showers. It will turn a bit cooler as well. Saturday should feature somewhat more sunshine as high pressure briefly builds in.
The much talked about big storm for Sunday and Monday is trending a bit weaker...
